Find the code shown in PackMap Studio, then follow the recovery steps in order.
If a red save warning is visible, keep the app open until saving succeeds.
Saving and storage
PM-SAVE-001
Project could not be saved
PackMap Studio could not write the latest changes, but no more specific cause
was available. The open app may still hold those changes in memory.
Keep PackMap Studio open.
Choose Retry Save.
Confirm the selected storage location is available.
Check that the device has free space, then retry.
PM-SAVE-002
Storage permission denied
The system denied access to the project location, or the location is read-only.
Keep the project open.
Confirm the storage location is connected and writable.
On Mac, review PackMap Studio access in Privacy & Security settings.
Return to PackMap Studio and choose Retry Save.
PM-SAVE-003
Storage is full
The device, iCloud Drive, or selected volume has insufficient free space.
Keep PackMap Studio open.
Free space on the affected storage location.
Return to PackMap Studio and choose Retry Save.
PM-SAVE-004
Storage location unavailable
The folder or volume is missing, disconnected, moved, or temporarily unavailable.
Keep PackMap Studio open.
Reconnect the drive or restore access to the original folder.
Choose Retry Save.
PM-SAVE-005
App settings could not be saved
Project data may be safe, but an App Settings change was not persisted.
Choose the retry action in App Settings.
Check free space, system permissions, and iCloud availability.
Reopen App Settings and confirm the value after retrying.
Internet and iCloud
PM-NET-001
No internet connection
The device is offline. Local projects can generally continue to work, but
iCloud Drive and online features cannot finish.
Keep the app open if a red save warning is visible.
Reconnect Wi-Fi, Ethernet, or cellular data.
Confirm another website or online service loads.
Wait for iCloud Drive to reconnect, then choose Retry Save.
PM-NET-002
iCloud Drive unavailable
PackMap Studio cannot currently reach the selected iCloud Drive location.
Confirm the device is online.
Confirm the correct Apple Account is signed in and iCloud Drive is enabled.
Open Files or Finder and verify that iCloud Drive is available.
Return to PackMap Studio and choose Retry Save.
PM-NET-003
Network connection interrupted
The operation timed out, lost its connection, or could not reach the host.
Check the internet connection.
Wait briefly and retry the action once.
If other sites work, check PackMap Studio service status or contact support.
PM-NET-004
Online service unavailable
Your connection works, but a required service is temporarily unavailable.
Do not repeat the action rapidly.
Wait a few minutes and try once more.
Continue local work if the affected online feature is not required.
Opening and recovery
PM-OPEN-001
Project could not be opened
PackMap Studio found the project but could not read it.
Best step: Keep the original unchanged, retry once, and use Recovery if offered.
PM-OPEN-002
Project package needs repair
Required project contents are missing, invalid, or inconsistent.
Best step: Preserve the original and use the Recovery copy when offered.
PM-OPEN-003
Interrupted save detected
A prior save may not have completed.
Best step: Review recovery information and retry saving before extensive new edits.
PM-OPEN-004
Project version is not supported
The project was created by an incompatible or newer app version.
Best step: Update PackMap Studio and keep the original project unchanged.
Importing
PM-IMPORT-001
Unsupported file type
Save or export the source in a supported PackMap, CSV, XLSX, or ODS format.
PM-IMPORT-002
Required columns are missing
Compare the source with the PackMap template and review the column mapping.
PM-IMPORT-003
Import file could not be read
Open the file in its original app, save a fresh unencrypted copy, and retry.
Exporting and printing
PM-EXPORT-001
Export could not be created
Check the destination and free space, choose a local destination, and retry once.
PM-EXPORT-002
PDF or print output failed
Try PDF export to a local folder and confirm the printer is available.
PM-EXPORT-003
Final output blocked by safety checks
Correct or acknowledge each permitted finding, then run final output again.
