About this policy

Our privacy promise
Your data is yours.
We do not claim ownership of the projects, files, information, or other content you create or import into PackMap Studio.
PackMap Studio is designed so that its creators do not receive or see your project data. We will not collect, access, view, sell, share, analyze, or otherwise use your data unless you knowingly choose to send specific information to us for a specific reason, such as requesting support.
Simply using PackMap Studio does not give us consent to collect your project data.
Information handled by the app
PackMap Studio may handle information you choose to enter or import, including:
- Project names and descriptions
- Items, containers, spaces, measurements, weights, and placements
- Notes, paperwork, approvals, and packing information
- Company, customer, driver, dispatch, and other contact information
- Logos and other images you select
- Imported spreadsheets and PackMap project files
- App settings and saved import configurations
This information is used by the app to provide the features you request. It is not sent to PackMap Studio’s creators.
Where your data is stored
Your projects and settings remain on your device or in a storage location you choose.
If you choose iCloud storage, Apple stores and processes that information through your personal iCloud account. PackMap Studio’s creators cannot access your iCloud files.
You control your files through PackMap Studio, Files, Finder, and your iCloud settings.
Information we do not collect
PackMap Studio does not operate a server that receives your projects or app activity.
The app does not include:
- Advertising
- Tracking
- Data brokers
- Third-party analytics
- Marketing profiles
- Automatic uploads of project contents
- A developer-operated user account system
We do not sell or rent personal information. We do not use project information or support communications to train artificial-intelligence or machine-learning systems.
Apple services
PackMap Studio uses Apple system features when you choose or enable them. These may include:
- iCloud for storage and settings synchronization
- Files and Finder for opening, saving, importing, and exporting
- Spotlight for limited project search information
- Siri and Shortcuts for limited project names and private links that open the app
- Apple share sheets for files you choose to share
- Apple diagnostic and performance services
These services are provided by Apple and are governed by Apple’s privacy practices.
PackMap Studio does not intentionally place detailed project contents in Spotlight, Siri, Shortcuts, or diagnostic reports.
If you enable Apple’s option to share diagnostics with app developers, Apple may provide us with limited crash or performance information. We will use that information only to diagnose problems and improve reliability. We will not use it for advertising, profiling, or attempting to identify you.
When you contact support
We receive information only when you choose to send it.
A support message may include your email address, error code, device type, operating-system version, screenshots, or other details you decide to provide.
We will use that information only to:
- Respond to your request
- Investigate the problem you reported
- Improve the reliability or safety of PackMap Studio
Please do not send a private .packmap project unless
we explain why it is needed, provide an appropriate transfer
method, and you explicitly agree to send it.
You may withdraw your consent or ask us to delete information you sent by emailing Support@PackMapStudio.com.
How long support information is kept
Support information will normally be deleted within 90 days after the request is closed.
We may keep a limited record longer only when required by law, needed to protect the security of the service, or requested by you. You may ask for earlier deletion at any time.
The PackMap Studio website
PackMap Studio does not add advertising, tracking, analytics, or nonessential cookies to the website.
The website is hosted by Cloudflare. Cloudflare may process technical information needed to deliver and protect the website, such as an IP address, traffic-routing information, or basic device and system configuration. PackMap Studio does not use this information to build visitor profiles, advertise, or connect website activity to app projects.
Videos first appear as title-card images served with this website. When you choose to play one, the site loads YouTube’s privacy-enhanced player. Google and YouTube may then process technical and playback information under their own privacy practices. PackMap Studio does not receive YouTube viewing data or use it to track visitors.
If you choose an email link on the Support page, your email provider and our email provider will process the message you send.
Sharing information
We do not sell, rent, or share your information for advertising or marketing.
Any service provider we choose to handle information on our behalf must protect it at least as carefully as this policy requires and may use it only for the service it provides.
If the law requires us to disclose information you voluntarily sent to us, we will disclose only what is legally required.
Your choices and control
You can:
- Choose local or iCloud storage
- Export your projects
- Delete projects through the app, Files, Finder, or iCloud
- Control Spotlight and related system features through available settings
- Decide whether to share Apple diagnostics
- Choose what information to send when requesting support
- Withdraw consent or request deletion of support information
Because we do not receive your ordinary app data, we generally have no server copy to access, correct, or delete.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights. Contact us if you want to exercise those rights regarding information you intentionally sent to us.
Changes to this policy
We will not quietly change PackMap Studio to begin collecting or using your data.
Before adding a feature that would send information to us or a new third party, we will:
- Review the feature against this privacy policy
- Explain what information would be involved and why
- Update this policy and applicable App Store disclosures
- Request consent when required
- Provide a way to withdraw consent when applicable
The “Last updated” date above will change whenever this policy changes.
